Taggart Construction was engaged by the City of Ottawa to collaborate on the repair of a 65-year-old 42” diameter watermain in Colonel By Drive.

Project Highlights

Analysis: We diagnosed the source of water loss from the critical backbone watermain and presented the repair options.

Solution: We replaced the failed mechanical coupler with a welded sleeve which bridged the existing pipe joint and proximal corrosion. We assisted the City with restoring their watermain to service without any interruption to residents.

Pace: We fast-tracked planning which typically takes weeks, and had resources onsite within a few days.
