Excavation Services

Works on this project involved the installation of storm and sanitary sewers including  connections to existing City of Ottawa infrastructure on Lisa Avenue and into an existing residential apartment building adjacent to the property. Mass excavation of the building – and removal of 35,000 m3 of fill – also involved a specially designed shoring system in the areas adjacent to the existing building. Dewatering operations included not only the pumping of excess groundwater from the building footprint during the construction process but the installation of eight permanent sump pits to manage excess ground water during the operating life of the building.
